First Geography quiz set for Friday, September 9

Our first geography quiz is set for this Friday, September 9

What the students need to study/be familiar with:

The difference between latitude and longitude
The difference between parallels and meridians
Different map types (political, physical, special purpose) and what information is found on each
The grid system (a system of imaginary llines all over the globe used to locate places)
Map projections (some countries, states, islands, or continents might appear larger than they actually are, typically near the north pole)
The difference between an absolute and a relative location

Students will also be asked to locate some cities using latitude and longitude.

Review your worksheets and notes, and please feel free to stop room 16 by during brunch, lunch, or during advisory for any questions or help!
