Last week I went fishing in San Francisco Bay. A Bay is a body of water with a wide opening to the ocean or sea. Our ship sailed through a canal. A canal is a man-made, artificial waterway. Each summer my family goes swimming in a lake. A lake is an inland body of water completely surrounded by land.
