Current event assignment-Middle and South America

This assignment is for World Geography periods 3, 6, and 7 only!

Assignment: Find a story or article that connects in some way to any country in Middle or South America. You may use magazines, newspapers, or the internet. Once you have found your story or article, write a brief summary about it. Attach your article or story (or a copy) to your summary and bring both to class. Be prepared to share your story/article with the class.

Food Option: You may bring a food dish of some type to class instead of a current event. The food must have its origins in Middle or South America. If you do this, write a brief summary about your food (it's name, ingredients, country of origin, anything else significant about it).
