Australia/New Zealand Current Event due on Friday 9/24

The first current event assignment is due on Friday, September 24.

Instructions: Find an article, story, or photography that relates to Australia or New Zealand. Newspapers, magazines, or the internet work well here. Once you have found your article, story, or photo, write a brief summary about your article, story, or photo. Bring both to class on Friday, 9/24, and be prepared to share your current event with the class.

Note: If you can find something current (past few weeks or month) that would be great. However, I will accept anything from the past, no matter how old.

Another note: If you have visited Australia or New Zealand, or know someone who has and you have a souvenir from either country, you may bring it in and share it with the class--this will act as a substitute for the current event.

Yet another note: If you would like to bring to class some type of food item that is native to Australia or New Zealand, you may do so---and again this will act as a substitute for the current event. Perhaps you could find a recipe online and bake something for us!
