Current Event Assignment for Australia/New Zealand

Periods 3, 6, and 7 only..,

Instructions: Find a newspaper article, story, or photo that relates to either Australia or New Zealand. You may use newspapers, magazines, or the internet as sources. Next, after you read your current event, write a brief summary about your current event. Remember, brief means brief, so you don't have to write any more than a paragraph describing what your current event is about. Bring both to class (the current event AND the summar) and be prepared to share your current event with the class.

Recent items work best, but are not mandatory. If anyone does not have access to a computer or newspaper, please come to see me in room16 at lunch, brunch, during advisory, or after school and I will let you use my computer to find a current event.

FOOD SUBSTITUTE: For those who would like, I will allow you to find a food recipe that relates to Australia or New Zealand (a dish that is eaten in those countries). You can then prepare the food and bring it to class.
